Kraft&Wärme also has a high level of expertise, decades of experience and excellent references when it comes to laying fire water pipes in tunnel structures and installing bridge drainage pipes.

Kraft&Wärme has been successfully providing customers with services in the field of heating, plumbing and ventilation installation since 1928 and has also been involved in the pipeline construction business since 1930. Below you will find an overview of the most important milestones in our company's history.
1928
The company was founded as a heating, plumbing and ventilation installation firm.
1930
The municipal pipeline construction division is established.
1994
Kraft&Wärme begins offering new, innovative and environmentally friendly technologies for trenchless pipe laying.
In the years that follow, Kraft&Wärme offers many other new processes with great success. Many of these are used for the first time in Austria or Europe.
- Hydros Plus. Pipe replacement process, used for the first time in 1994 with an exclusive licence for Austria.
- Mini Twinny. So-called controlled house connection drilling, as a displacement process for gas and drinking water pipes. Used for the first time in Austria in 1995.
- Swage Lining. Carried out for Wiener Wasser, MA 31, for the first time in Austria in 1999.
- Starline 200. Established with an exclusive licence for Austria in 2002 and used ever since for Wiener Netze GmbH. A process that Kraft&Wärme is the only company in Austria to offer.
- Hydros Steel for ductile cast iron pipes. Used worldwide for the first time in 2002 in a major project for Wiener Wasser in Heiligenstädter Straße.
1997
Kraft&Wärme is certified according to ISO 9001.
2000
Sale of the company by its private owner to ABB and division into the core areas of building services and pipe and plant engineering.
2001
Wiener Betriebs- und Baugesellschaft mbH (WIBEBA) acquires Kraft&Wärme Rohr- und Anlagentechnik.
2005
Kraft&Wärme will be integrated into the PORR Group and Teerag-Asdag.
2008
Certification according to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, BS OHSAS 18001:2007, and welding quality requirements according to ÖNORM EN ISO 3834-2.
2012
Integration of the specialised pipeline construction division, formerly RAB, for the installation of fire water and bridge drainage pipes.
2019
Expansion of the business area to include district heating and cooling pipelines.
